Origin and Plantation

Vilcabamba, literally translated as "the sacred valley," is a small village in southern Ecuador with the beautiful nickname "Valley of the Centenarians." Nowhere else in the Western world do so many people live to be well over 100 years old and enjoy excellent health. What is certain is that premium coffee is grown here at an altitude of 1,500 meters. The ripe cherries are hand-picked, washed in clear mountain rivers after the pulp is removed, and then sun-dried.

Character and Taste

A taste sensation not just for centenarians! This coffee's full-bodied, well-developed body and fine chocolate note alone indicate its special quality. The sparkling, yet not dominant acidity and, above all, the fresh, light fruit notes should ultimately win over every coffee connoisseur.
