McQueen and the Violet Fog – Gin from Brazil

McQueen and the Violet Fog is a gin made in Brazil. According to the manufacturer, it is distilled in a small copper pot still, with batches of under 500 liters. To create the aroma, the manufacturer combines two methods:

• Maceration: 15 botanicals are steeped in 60% alcohol for 24 hours to extract flavor compounds and essential oils.
• Steam infusion: The alcohol vapor flows through a copper basket containing 6 additional "signature botanicals" and absorbs their aromas.

Signature botanicals: Basil leaves, rosemary, fennel seeds, calamondin oranges, star anise, açaí

Other botanicals: Juniper berries, coriander seeds, lemongrass, violet root, guava, angelica root, orange peel, jasmine, lemon peel, cucumber, rose petals, pomelo peel, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg

Taste according to the manufacturer

Citrus notes, herbal and floral undertones, and roasted spices; later notes reminiscent of sorrel. Very smooth on the palate, with subtle juniper and a touch of sugarcane sweetness.

Serving suggestions
