Bombril – Steel Wool Pads from Brazil
Bombril is so well known in Brazil that the brand name is often used as a generic term for steel wool. The Esponja de Aço ("steel wool sponge") is used for scrubbing pots, pans, baking sheets, and grill grates.
Usage
- For burnt-on residue in pots and on baking sheets
- For grill grates
- Do not use on non-stick or delicate surfaces

Tips for Use
- Moisten the pad and use with a little dish soap
- Wear household gloves when scrubbing
- Rinse and allow to dry after use, as damp steel wool can rust
The brand is also known in Brazil for its advertising slogan “Mil e uma utilidades” ("A thousand and one uses").
