According to the manufacturer, Cachaça Delicana Umburana is aged for five years in barrels made of umburana wood (also known as amburana). Umburana is one of the best-known Brazilian woods for aging cachaça and significantly shapes its flavor.

Delicana is described as having an unusual aromatic profile with slightly smoky notes, as well as nuances of cinnamon and green olives. According to the manufacturer's recommendation, it best reveals its aroma when enjoyed neat.

Brazilian Woods Instead of Oak

Unlike whisky or rum, cachaça is often aged in barrels made of native Brazilian woods. Each wood brings its own aromas. With Delicana, you can directly compare the differences: Jequitibá, Putumujú, and Bálsamo. Another cachaça from an umburana barrel is Germana Caetano.

Serving
